Thinking Positively

Sometimes I tend to get so caught up in the day-to-day things and it causes me to get frustrated or irritated.  Sometimes I focus on the negative things unintentionally.  Both of these situations cause me to not be the best person I can be.  I want to change my perspective.  I know it’s not possible to ALWAYS be positive about EVERYTHING but I know that if I can change my perspective on some things, I will be a happier person…a better mom…a better wife…a better friend.  So, I’m starting off small.

I used to get frustrated because the kids would wake up extremely early on the weekends – hello 6:30 a.m.!! And during the week when I needed them to wake up early, they wouldn’t.  Why!??!?!  Why do kids do that?!?!  Then I convinced myself that during the week, the kids sleep in because they don’t want to go to school.  They want to sleep through the time they are suppose to wake up in hopes of not needing to go to school.  And on the weekends, they wake up early because they are SUPER excited to spend the day with the most important person/people in their lives – YOU!  You can’t get a better compliment than that.

I’m still working on the positive side of other things like the positive side of #2 pooping in his diaper at home instead of in the toilet (he poops in the toilet at school!!).  Any suggestions for this one?
